Payment, Cancellation and Gift Certificates

Property Cancellation Policy

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, the outstanding 50% is due on the day of arrival. Should you decide to cancel a $50 cancellation fee applies to all bookings cancelled outside 14 days of your arrival. If you decide to cancel within 14 days of your arrival you will forfeit your deposit amount. All cancellations must be received in writing. Cancellation fees apply to any and all circumstances.

COVID-19 affected bookings: Should a government mandated intrastate or interstate travel restriction, or lockdown be enforced that prevents you from travelling on your booked date, we will move your booking to a future date within 12 months, with no penalty. If you do not have a future date in mind, we will hold the amount paid as credit to be used within 12 months. If you wish to cancel your booking, our full cancellation fee will apply.

Payment
Third party credit card payments require completion of hotel issued credit card authorisation form. This must be arranged with the hotel prior to arrival. Guests paying cash will be asked to pay full accommodation rates plus $100 AUD bond per stay for incidentals. The unused portion of the bond will be refunded at checkout.
 
Currency
Additional fees will be incurred for payment from an international credit card.
 
Credit Cards
Credit card holder must be physically present at reception desk to provide credit card payment. For security reasons please do not provide credit card details through email. Please either call us or use the online booking system via our website. A credit card will be pre-authorised at check in. If the room is prepaid, the pre-authorisation will be $100AUD per night. We accept all major credit cards, a Credit Card surcharge of 1.5% is applicable on all payments.
 
Cheques

Personal cheques are not accepted for payment. In addition, Bangalay does not offer cheque cashing services.

Gift Certificates

How do I purchase a gift voucher?
Gift vouchers can be purchased online. All gift vouchers will be sent as a PDF to your email address. If a recipient email address has been provided, the recipient will also receive an email with the voucher attached.

Terms and Conditions of Gift Voucher use 
Gift vouchers are valid for three years from purchase date. Vouchers are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift vouchers must be presented upon booking and arrival.

Where can I use my Gift Voucher?
Bangalay Gift Vouchers can be redeemable on accommodation in our luxury villas, or at our destination restaurant Bangalay Dining.

Do I have to stay within the Gift Voucher expiry period?
Gift vouchers must be used within the three year period. They are non-refundable and if unused within the validity period, the funds will be lost.
