Three Views Walking Track, Morton National Park: One of our favourites for the whole family – the views are some of the most amazing we’ve ever seen, including Lake Yarrunga View, Tallowa Darn View and Shoalhaven River View. Split into three parts, each portion of the track can be done separately to shorten the walk, if preferred.
Approximate time (all 3 tracks): 3 – 4hrs

Ben’s Walk, Nowra: Begin at breathtaking Hanging Rock Lookout and adventure on this 5km, family-friendly circuit, passing rock overhangs, boulders, a suspension bridge and views over the Shoalhaven River.

White Sands Walk, Jervis Bay: Located within the iconic Jervis Bay area, the White Sands Walk is a picturesque coastal track that meanders along the pristine shores of Hyams Beach, renowned for its dazzling white sands. Enjoy panoramic ocean views and the opportunity to spot native wildlife along the way.

Pigeon House Mountain, Morton National Park: For those seeking a more challenging adventure, the hike up Pigeon House Mountain offers rewarding panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. Located in Morton National Park, this iconic peak stands tall at 720 meters above sea level, providing hikers with a memorable ascent and stunning vistas from the summit.

Drawing Room Rocks, Barren Grounds Nature Reserve: Discover the unique sandstone formations and sweeping vistas of the Drawing Room Rocks walk in the Barren Grounds Nature Reserve. This moderate-level trail offers spectacular views of the coastline and hinterland, making it a favourite among nature enthusiasts and photographers.

Mount Bushwalker, Morton National Park: Embark on a journey through lush rainforest and towering eucalyptus trees on the Mount Bushwalker walking track. Located in Morton National Park, this scenic trail leads to the summit of Mount Bushwalker, where hikers can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and distant coastline.

Granite Falls Lookout Walk, Morton National Park: One of our favourites for the whole family – Granite Falls looks particularly spectacular after a couple of days of rain when the falls are full. The lookout viewing platform overlooks dense green valleys with the 63 metre-high falls towering beneath.

Kiama Coastal Walk, Kiama: Take a leisurely stroll along the Kiama Coastal Walk and soak in the beauty of the South Coast’s dramatic coastline. This scenic track stretches for 22 kilometers from Minnamurra to Gerringong, passing by picturesque beaches, rugged cliffs, and charming seaside villages along the way. The walk can be broken up into shorter sections.

Lyrebird Loop Track, Budderoo National Park: Step into a world of enchantment as you wander along the Lyrebird Loop Track, a 1.6-kilometer circuit that winds its way through lush subtropical rainforest. Ideal for walking with children, the beautiful Lyrebird loop walk takes an hour to complete.

The Falls Walk, Budderoo National Park: For those seeking a slightly longer adventure, the Falls Walk offers a scenic journey to the iconic Minnamurra Falls. This 4.2-kilometer return track leads you through towering eucalypt forests and fern-filled gullies, culminating in a breathtaking vista of the majestic waterfall. Marvel at the sight and sound of the cascading waters as you relax at the viewing platform, surrounded by the beauty of the natural landscape.

Gosangs Tunnel, Jervis Bay: If you are looking for a bushwalk that will knock your socks off, this one is it! As part of the larger Abraham’s Bosom Walking Track in Currarong, Gosang’s Tunnel requires you to leave the main track (look for the signs) and crawl on your hands and knees through a tunnel for about 15 metres, where you will emerge out onto the edge of the Currarong sea cliffs. It is an incredible feeling standing on the rocky outcrop and looking down to the vast ocean below. Be warned, this area isn’t fenced so it is not recommended for young kids.

Bomaderry Creek Walk: A surprising walk considering its close proximity to the urban area of Bomaderry, Bomaderry Creek Walk is a significant area for the local Aboriginal people. Featuring lots of bush tucker, along with a vast array of vegetation types, the walk features the sandstone cliffs of Bomaderry Creek gorge, cool forest and stunning wildflowers in Spring.
