Helping put the South Coast
on the dining map
South Coast Young Chefs Dinner
Sunday 18 July 2021
Bangalay Dining is thrilled to be hosting the South Coast Young Chefs Dinner on July 18th with tickets selling fast.
Five leading young Chef’s including Nathan Clowry (Babyface and Kneading Ruby), Tristan Rebbettes (Cafe Paci, Rockpool 1989, Sepia), Eilish Maloney (The Ledbury, Saint Peter, Nomad, What If Society), Jasmine Sawa (Monster Kitchen and Bar, Rebel Rebel) and Bryce Mason (Pilot, Monster, Bangalay Dining, Wharf Road) will each plate up one snack and one course bringing their unique skillsets, diversity of cuisines and range of flavours to the night.
“The main reason I wanted to do this event was to connect some young chefs from down the South Coast to the Southern Highlands, and help put the South Coast on the dining map. Having such a large area to cover makes it hard for restaurants and their staff to meet each other and build up that community within the industry, which is so easy to do living in a city like Sydney”, said Bangalay’s Restaurant Manager, Ronnie Gorman, who was appointed at the end of 2020, bringing exceptional industry experience.
With the South Coast as a picturesque backdrop and culinary inspiration, these five young chefs will pay homage to the local, native ingredients through their produce-orientated food.
“The first two chefs I approached were Eilish Maloney and Tristan Rebbettes. Working with both of these chefs at Saint Peter I have watched their careers blossom over the past couple of years, so I’m very excited to see what the future will bring for both of these young chefs”, Gorman continued.
Tickets for the much-anticipated dinner will be $85pp or $145pp with matched wines.
